Spiking Neural Networks Workshop

Spiking Neural Networks Workshop

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our Spiking Neural Networks (SNN) Workshop held on March 27th and 28th at the LMU!
This workshop brought together leading experts and passionate participants to dive deep into the fascinating world of Spiking Neural Networks—a biologically-inspired computational approach that mimics the brain’s spiking activity to process information more efficiently.

The event covered a wide range of topics, from neuroscience-inspired principles and mathematical models of SNNs to their real-world applications in neuromorphic engineering. It was an inspiring experience and a knowledge exchange across multiple domains.

We would like to thank our speakers Prof. Dr. Hussam Amrouch, Dr. Sebastian Billaudelle, Prof. Dr. Holger Boche, Prof. Dr. Sander Bohte, Dr. Dominik Dold, Prof. Dr. Daniel Goodman, Prof. Dr. Wulfram Gerstner, Dr. Laura Kriener, Prof. Dr. Gitta Kutyniok, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Maass, Prof. Dr. Timothée Masquelier, Prof. Dr. Emre Neftci, Matthias Ochs and Prof. Dr. Friedemann Zenke and everyone involved for making this event a huge success. A special thanks to the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts and Die Sächsische Staatsministerin für Kultur und Tourismus for their support of the “Next Generation AI Computing (gAIn)” project.

Here’s to advancing the future of AI and neuromorphic computing!
